The Austin AGC wants to keep you informed on COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and its impact on construction activity. In addition to regular emails such as this, we are posting information on our LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter social media outlets, so be sure sure to follow those regularly as well.
The AGC of America (AGCA) has an abundance of information on their website here about the fast-evolving coronavirus issue and its impact on construction. The site is updated often, so please continue to everyday resources you can use to educate you and your employees.
We urge you to adopt jobsite best practices in order to prevent any workers from getting coronavirus. A list of best practices is available here in English, and available here in Spanish. Please use at your jobsites, at home and distribute widely!
NATIONAL SAFETY STAND DOWN - April 20, 2020
AGC of America wants to do a COVID Safety Stand Down April 20, 2020. We would like AGC Austin members to participate in a stand down as well. We understand this is short notice but we need to show the city and county, we are taking the necessary steps to keep our workers safe. Please let Michael Welvaert know if you are planning on doing a stand down this Thursday or the following week. We would also like some action photos of the stand down being conducted where we can post on social media to show the city and county we are taking the corrective measures to ensure worker safety.
