The Austin AGC Safety Committee members are dedicated to supporting the enhancement of jobsite safety at every level. Each meeting is structured to provide information and training to address the challenges of maintaining a safe and healthful workplace in today’s fast- paced environment. Our meetings are represented by a diverse group of safety professionals from multiple sectors of the commercial construction industry, including GC’s, subcontractors, vendors, specialty contractors, legal experts, medical providers and OSHA representatives.
The Safety Committee is open to all AGC Austin members interested in promoting the safety and education of the construction industry.
The committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Austin AGC office.

State and National Safety Committee Participation
Austin AGC Safety Committee members are actively engaged at the state (Texas Building Branch) and national level (AGC of America) by serving on Safety and Health Committees and attending the AGC of America Safety and Health Conference annually. Besides meeting safety professionals from across the state and country, serving on the safety committee provides an effective way to share best practices on improving safety behavior and performance in the workplace. At the national level, safety and health professionals meet with influential policy makers, the OSHA Advisory Committee on Safety and Health, as well as other organizations and coalitions.
Austin AGC encourages all safety and health professionals interested in sharing technical and professional information on safety and health matters to join the Texas Building Branch Safety Committee. This group meets quarterly and discusses workforce safety issues that might impact job-site safety as well provides guidance on compliance and regulatory issues.
